Year 6 had a very successful day at St David’s playing fields making lots of new friends and taking part in some fun activities. All the Year 6 pupils in the local area took part  so that the children could make new friends ready for a new start at secondary school. We wish them all the best of luck for next term!

Remember to get a lot of rest this weekend and that breakfast is available, in class, from 8:20 onwards each day. Good luck Year 6!

Our topic this term is all about animals, their habitats and how to classify them. In literacy, we will be discussing whether animals should be kept in zoos or not and our class trip to Whipsnade Zoo will enable the children to make an informed decision about this. Science will be focused on finding out about the classification groups that living things can be sorted in to and how animals and plants adapt to live in extreme environments. Topic work will see the children investigating different biomes and also exploring the advantages and disadvantages of a visit by the Zoo to our community! So look out for Lions on the playground!
